I’m so glad you’re back here again for another frightful weekend of chit-chats and ghoulishness… and you just happen to be right on time to meet a very special guest tonight ๐
Meet Libra โ
My new eReader!
I’ve decided that I’m keeping the name Libra as it also happens to be my horoscope and feels like it suits the device well… my balance of writing and reading ๐ค
At the moment, I still haven’t purchased the Kobo Stylus 2, but I’m definitely planning on getting it soon for annotating eBooks and journaling in the summer months!
Wanna see a really cool feature you can do with the Kobo Libra? ๐
I’m finding it actually easier to read longer books (both physically and psychologically) as I’m not as intimidated by the amount of pages or whether it will only be available in hardcover (which is just not my jam atm ๐)
Also, it’s incredibly travel friendly as you’re able to take numerous books with you, anywhere you’d like, AND like previously stated, you get to customize the cover to be however you wish & the User Interface for the Kobo Libra Colour is just super sleek.
With a smooth, paper-feel to the screen, easy to use buttons and weighted perfectly to be easily held without fatigue- it’s the best purchase I’ve made for my continuous reading habits!
Neutrals ๐
I am very grateful that I’m able to check out local library ebooks using Overdrive, however I really wish it used the Libby app over Overdrive ๐ I’m a big fan of Libby’s User Interface and honestly prefer it over Overdrive’s, but hey, beggars cannot be choosers when it comes to what options are available!

Up Next to Explore ๐ฌ
I still haven’t gotten a chance to explore Kobo PLUS and on my initial impression, it didn’t amaze me like I thought it would… I’m very glad I received a free trial, but the categories were vague and of course, just not that friendly to horror lovers (e.g., there’s no way to search just for Horror genre)
you can search by categories of various genres on Kobo Plus… just not Horror exclusively
… Oh, I still haven’t discovered how to use the Audiobook/Bluetooth sync feature yet, but… in time ๐

Ah thank you for mentioning my post! ๐ค The Kobo Stylus 2 is definitely worth it if you plan on using the notebook feature. I use it a lot for planning and taking notes while I’m reading. โบ
I was so excited when you made that post talking about the Send to Kobo update ๐คฉ and can’t wait to get my Stylus, to do exactly the same thing!
Wishing you such a wonderful weekend, and so grateful for YOUR content ๐ค
Apologies for being a ghost yesterday, Boils and Ghouls…
With a depleting energy battery ๐ชซ on the fritz and a busy weekend lined up, I decided to give myself a true Slow Saturday yesterday (as some may have noticed last night’s radio silence on the blog.) It’s been a busy month for many reasons, so some self-TLC was definitely required and present focus absolutely needed.
…I hear you, Charlie
Oh, and if you haven’t already…
to be notified of posts- we like creepers here ๐ท๏ธ
Since I’m still recouping my energy, I’m going to make today’s blog post short ‘n spooky… but I’m really excited to introduce you to my latest tarot card deck, and boy, is it ever on brand for me ๐
Meet my Horror Tarot Deck ๐
Meet the Tarot Deck Creator & view her illustrations ๐
I was drawn to the art style and the horror theme. I’m only newly into Tarot, and have been learning on my own for the past few years, but I’d love to get truly confident in my readings and card interpretations down the road.
And secondly, I really like the guidebook format and how each card’s interpretation has an upright and reverse description so you really capture the duality that exists, and how not every thing we perceive may mean what we originally interpret…
Recently, I’ve started pulling a daily card each morning (or letting the deck toss out the card during a cleansed shuffling) and then I’ll reflect on the card’s meaning or message:
Three knocks before you shuffle to cleanse the energy
and today’s pull was…

Minor Arcana – Air
a fiercely independent, analytical truth-seeking individual
Having too much can be a curse around your neck. But if your intellect and emotions are aligned, the Queen of Swords may reveal that your feminine power can be expressed without fear. You have high goals and know how to reach them. Horror Tarot ๐ฉธGuidebook

Aligning your inner fearless self with your known external powers. Strong and fiercely ready to override fear and lean directly into the empowered, intuitive feminine forces, with a healthy and clearly balanced mind.
Prioritize and structure your goals to align with your true determined self, and feel energized to succeed in your accomplishments, to continuously inspire others to fearlessly move through life.
Organize the chaos, in your favor ๐

I want to really practice my readings using this Tarot deck and hopefully feel comfortable enough to give personal readings to loved ones in the future! If you enjoyed this post and want me to do more Tarot card blog posts, let me know ๐ฌ
